Unified records

An anonymized write-up of a real project. We don't disclose the client's data, interfaces or internal rules. The team's observation: roughly +20% organic traffic within a month of the switch, a result of the work on the project as a whole, not just the migration.

// Task

The client had three separate online stores. The task was to rebuild how they were managed while keeping the necessary information and content: a shared catalog, stock records and order handling, with each site staying a separate storefront.

// What we did

We merged the product catalog, stock and orders of the three storefronts; migrated products, attributes, prices, options, reviews and blog content; implemented shipping calculation and payment methods; added AI features for product content; and handled SEO redirects from the old URLs.

// Result
  • The three sites work as separate sales channels with shared management of the catalog, stock and orders.
  • The team got a connected system for records and content publishing, with the data from the previous stores preserved.
  • We see roughly +20% organic traffic within a month; this is the result of the work on the project as a whole, not just the migration.

We brought separate stores together into one management system. We kept three storefronts and moved the work with products, stock and orders into one place.

Where this experience helps

Several storefronts may need one shared source of product data and records. In a project like this, the catalog, orders, publishing channels and the move off the old systems have to be planned together.

This case shows our experience with an end-to-end e-commerce rebuild, where the new web part is connected to the team's day-to-day work.
